Er begann mit dem Fußballspielen in Afrika, beim Olympic Sport Abobo. 2003 wechselte er zum ASEC Mimosas aus seiner Heimatstadt Abidjan. Mit dem Klub gewann er mehrmals in Folge den ivorischen Meistertitel und er trat auch auf internationaler Ebene in der afrikanischen Champions League an. Aufgrund seiner Leistungen 2006 wurde er erstmals in die ivorische Nationalmannschaft berufen und er wurde als Spieler des Jahres in 1ère Division geehrt.Im Dezember 2006 verpflichtet ihn der mehrfache norwegische Landesmeister Rosenberg Trondheim. Er wird Stammspieler und verhalf der Mannschaft beim Einzug in die Gruppenphase, der UEFA Champions League 2007/08. Er kam in 5 Spielen zum Einsatz. Er lief in 20 von 26 Saisonspielen auf und verhalf so der Mannschaft auf den 5 Platz. Am 11. August hat ihn Hannover 96 verpflichtet, als Verstärkung für die von vielen verletzten geschwächte Offensive. Er unterschrieb ein Drei-Jahres-Kontrakt. Sein erstes Tor schoss er für Hannover 96 beim 1:1 gegen Borussia Dortmund am 19.September 2009. In der Spielzeit 2009/2010 schoss er 9 Tore und bereitete 5 vor, in 25 Spielen von denen er 15 durchgespielt hat. Dadurch wurde er ein wichtiger Spieler für Hannover 96.
